Cultural norms and values are of paramount importance, especially in the villages. During the tour you will also visit several villages for a cultural experience and visit craft markets for beautiful traditional wood carvings, cultural symbols, (kente) fabrics and typical West African jewelry.
Your taste buds are also spoiled. Every day you can eat various regional dishes and fish dishes with freshly caught fish from the sea or rivers.
We visit the eateries where the ‘locals’ also come for delicious Ghanaian specialties according to age-old recipes, freshly prepared with local ingredients. This is worth the wait for your meal. After enjoying a delicious meal, you can relax in a hammock or beach chair along the beautiful, wild beaches.
Be surprised by the beautiful nature of Ghana. Do you dare to discover the most beautiful piece of nature in Ghana at a height of 60 meters via a rope bridge? Then come with us to Kakum National Park. Enjoy the special flora and fauna and feel zen by the whistling exotic birds.
A visit to Ada Faoh, a fishing village along the Volta Lake, is a spectacular experience. The boat trip on the Volta Lake takes you past several small villages and we make 3 stops: we visit 2 islands and also the magical stop at the intersection of the Volta Lake and the Atlantic Ocean.
You can chill at the beach or take a refreshing dip while enjoying a local beer, palm wine or fresh coconut water. The tour also includes a trip to the mountainous area of Aburi, known for its beautiful skyline and mountains. In Aburi we visit the largest botanical garden in Ghana, test your plant knowledge and look for recognition. We conclude the tour through Aburi with a visit to a special art & craft market, with special wood carvings, jewelry, accessories and African fashion items. Makola Market is a permanent part of our tour. You will visit the largest and most famous, but above all the busiest, market in the capital. You will go shopping heavenly there. Prepare yourself…. you will suffer from choice stress.
The fabrics are so beautiful that you become very greedy. Shop till you drop the most beautiful African fabrics for your fantastic outfit. We also do high-end fashion shopping in Accra Mall or Junction Mall. Do you still have energy in the evening to discover the nightlife… Let’s go! Dance to the famous Afrobeats in the clubs, bars and beach bars or enjoy African (cover) bands in the local bars.

Je kunt bij ons vanaf 7 dagen een tour boeken. Afwijkende reisperiodes voor groepen zijn bespreekbaar. In overleg kan de groepsreis worden verlengd op maat.
Op aanvraag is uitbreiding van het verblijf in Ghana (zonder tourplanning) ook mogelijk om in alle rust nog te genieten van het goede leven in Ghana of om deze fascinerende tour op een serene manier af te sluiten.
Onze accommodatie in Greater Accra region leent zich daar uitstekend voor. Het is een goede uitvalsbasis voor de bruisende hoofdstad met volop entertainment en diverse markten. Maar ook voor de oergezellige Labadi beach.
